Controlling and dimming constant current linear, is the flickerfree alternative to the cost-effective PWM (pulse width modulation). The LED-current and therefore the luminous flux, is therefore free of all changing brightness fluctuations. We offer a variety of suitable linear-controllers here.
Some Led-driver have pure amplitude control, some have a elegant solution of a combination of AM and PWM (=Hybrid)

"flicker-free" LED Licht und was hat das mit "dim to warm" zu tun?

Der Betrieb von LEDs erfordert einen konstanten Strom (z.B 350mA), somit wurden in der Vergangenheit Konstantstromtreiber (LED-Treiber) eingesetzt.
Hierbei sorgte eine elektronische Schaltung für einen festen Stromwert. Genauer gesagt nur für einen konstanten Mittelwert, welcher über ein Tastverhältnis von An/Aus diesen realisierte.

Diese als Pulsweiten-Dimmung/Modulation (PWM) bekannte Methode erzeugte abhängig von der gewählten PWM-Frequenz ein unterschiedlich wahrgenommenes Flimmern, bzw. Streifen in Videos bei Filmaufnahmen.

Die Lösung ist ein "echter" Konstantstrom. Bei der sog. AM-Dimmung wird der Strom dann von z.B. 350mA linear (!) bis auf wenige mA runtergeregelt. Das bedeutet zwar etwas mehr schaltungstechnischen Aufwand ist aber auch Voraussetzung für den Betrieb von LED-Module mit "Dim to Warm" (DTW, D2W, Dim2Warm) - Funktion.
Bei kleinen Strömen wechselt das LED-Modul hin zu wärmeren Licht.

Kurzum alle LED-Treiber für Dim-2-Warm arbeiten mit Amplitduendimmung (linearer Regelung) und gelten als flimmerfrei.
